THUNDER BAY — Thunder Bay police made a second arrest on Wednesday morning in connection with an ongoing investigation of a break and enter and assault incident that occurred on the weekend.
Police were dispatched to a residential address in the 200-block of Amelia Street West just after 4:15 p.m. on Sunday, March 21 after receiving reports of an assault that had just occurred, according to a news release.
Officers learned that four accused had gained entry into an apartment via forced entry. Once inside, the four male suspects attacked the two victims.
Police say the victims were one male and one female. At least one of the attackers was known to the victims.
A weapon was also used during the attack.
Parker James Speak, 27, of Thunder Bay is charged with breaking, entering and committing, assault with a weapon, and assault.
Speak appeared in court on Monday and was released with conditions and a future court date.
David Vernon Gregorovich, 34, of Thunder Bay is charged with breaking, entering and committing, assault with a weapon and failure to comply with a judicial release.
He appeared in bail court on March 24, and was remanded into custody with a future court appearance.
Police say the investigation remains ongoing.
