THUNDER BAY — A police operation in the Westfort area of the city Wednesday afternoon resulted in an appeal to the public to avoid the 200 block of Amelia St. West.
Details were not immediately available.
At 2:30 p.m. Thunder Bay Police issued only a brief statement advising there would be a significant police presence in that area.
Police said later Wednesday afternoon they had been executing a planned high-risk arrest.
