THUNDER BAY — Police are now investigating the death of an individual at a south-side apartment building as a homicide.

Thunder Bay Police announced Wednesday afternoon that a male who was transferred from 1100 Lincoln Street to hospital with life-threatening injuries was subsequently pronounced deceased.

No other details were provided.

Officers were initially called to the property where McIvor Court is located shortly before 10 p.m. on Tuesday.

A police presence remains in the area as the Major Crimes Unit and Forensic Identification Unit continue their investigation.

McIvor Court is a housing complex for people over the age of 50, and is operated by the District of Thunder Bay Social Services Administration Board.
