THUNDER BAY - Police remain on the scene of a sudden death on the city’s south side that is now being treated as a homicide.
According to a media release issued by the Thunder Bay Police Service, officers were made aware of a potential sudden death on the 300 block of Bethune Street on Wednesday afternoon.
A deceased male was found inside the home and upon further investigation by the uniform patrol branch and major crimes unit, the death is now being treated as a homicide.
The identity of the victim has not been released at this time.
The investigation is ongoing and police remain on the scene and is being processed by the forensic identification unit. A post-mortem examination on the victim is scheduled to take place in Toronto.
