THUNDER BAY — Policing in Thunder Bay and Oliver Paipoonge will be getting a citizens' review.

Thunder Bay Police Service has launched a survey with Lakehead University called Citizen Satisfaction and Trust Survey 2023.

The goal of the survey is to gain insight into how residents feel about their interactions with members of the police service, how the organization is perceived and of the organization as a whole.

The survey is approximately 10 minutes long, and the results will further shape the community service along with how officers are trained locally.

According to the introduction on the survey's website, the finished report will be available for public access on various social media platforms affiliated with the Thunder Bay Police Service.

The survey can be completed online and is expected to be available for approximately six weeks.

The first version of the survey was developed in 2018 and was also conducted in 2019.
