Police are investigating a series of crimes that have resulted in thousands of dollars in damages, but have only netted the culprits with a few dollars.
The incidents, which have been reported over the last couple of weeks, involve coin operated laundry machines in apartment building in the Arthur Street area, between May and Mountdale.
The machines have been broken into to access the coins inside.
Thunder Bay Police Service officials are advising landlords to empty money from the machines on a daily basis.
Police are also warning tenants to be extra cautious about allowing strangers into their buildings.
