City police officers are trying to figure out how an unconscious man ended up in a snow bank on Limbrick and University Drive.
Thunder Bay Police Service Const. Julie Tilbury said the man was intoxicated when found just before 5 a.m. Tuesday.
“Police reiceved a call from a concerned citizen about a male lying unconscious in a snow bank,” she told CKPR Radio Tuesday morning.
“When officers arrived, the male had regained consciousness and said that he had been assaulted. He was taken to the Thunder Bay Regional (Health Sciences Center) by ambulance.”
Tilbury added that the man was unable to provide any further information.
She is now encouraging potential witnesses to contact police.
