THUNDER BAY — City police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect who broke into a north-side convenience store earlier this month and hauled away a cash-dispensing machine.
The incident occurred just before 4:30 a.m. at High Street Variety at the intersection of Van Norman and High streets.
The perpetrators gained entry to the store by smashing a large window in the front.
Once inside, they disconnected the ATM, then dragged it outside through a rear door.
The thieves apparently loaded the machine into a waiting vehicle.
