THUNDER BAY - The investigation into a shooting last week that left a Toronto man dead is progressing, police say, but no charges have been laid yet.

Thunder Bay Police Service spokesperson Scott Paradis said the investigation continues to make advances but at this time police aren’t able to provide specifics to the public regarding the homicide investigation.

Officers responded to a residential address in the 500-block of May Street North just after 2:30 a.m. on Monday, March 23.

Police located Adrian Kadeem Drysdale, 28, of Toronto with serious injuries. The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment of his injuries where he later died.

Police confirmed last week a firearm was involved in the incident and an autopsy has since taken place.

Officers are still investigating the exact nature of the relationship between the victim and the possible accused.

“At this time we are able to say with confidence that this was not a random event and that the victim was likely known to their attacker prior to the incident,” Paradis said.

Last week, Thunder Bay Police Service Det. Insp. John Fennell told media persons of interest had been identified but no arrests had been made yet.
