THUNDER BAY -- Officers with the Thunder Bay Police Service were at the scene of a serious motor vehicle collision on Sunday involving a pedestrian on the city’s south side.
Thunder Bay police officers were called to Simpson and Leith streets just before 8 p.m. on Sunday night after receiving reports of a motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian.
Firefighters with Thunder Bay Fire Rescue and paramedics with Superior North EMS also attended the scene.
The pedestrian has been transported to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre for further evaluation and treatment of their injuries.
Motorists can expect traffic disruptions due to the significant police presence in the area.
The public is asked to avoid the area until further notice.
