Police renew call for assistance in search for missing teen

THUNDER BAY — Police are renewing a call for assistance from the public in locating a missing teen last seen in early June.

Kailey Puittinen-Dampier, 18, was last seen on June 8 in Nipigon, but is now believed to be in the Thunder Bay area.

The Thunder Bay Police Service released a renewed call for assistance in the missing persons case on Wednesday, after posting an initial notice on June 17.

Puittinen-Dampier is described as an Indigenous woman standing about five-foot-seven with a thin build, dark brown hair, and blue/green eyes.

No clothing descriptors are available at this time, police said.

Anyone with information on Puittinen-Dampier’s whereabouts is asked to call police at (807) 684-1200, or submit tips anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
