Police are appealing to the public for assistance in locating a traveler who went missing in the Upsala area earlier this week.
Andrew Waters, a 34-year-old Sarnia man, has been travelling from Sarnia to Winnipeg on a silver e-bike.
Waters was checking in with family and friends every couple of hours and was also tracking his location with GPS, but both stopped on Tuesday, Aug. 8, the Ontario Provincial Police reported in a release Saturday.
Waters’ last known location was at a gas station on Highway 17 about 20 kilometres east of Upsala on Aug. 8, police said, an area around 100 kilometres northwest of Thunder Bay. He was believed to be headed westbound.
Waters is described as standing 6'2", 190 pounds, with a muscular build, hazel eyes, short brown buzz-cut hair, and a short beard.
