THUNDER BAY — Two years since the death of a Thunder Bay man after an apparent shooting incident, police are still looking for the perpetrator.

On Monday, Thunder Bay police issued a request for information from the public in the ongoing investigation into the death of 31-year-old Conrad Joseph Bannon.

The case dates back to Nov. 4, 2021, when officers responded to reports of possible shots being fired at an apartment complex in the 200 block of Amelia Street West.

Bannon died from his injuries at the scene.

In January 2022 a 17-year-old Cambridge youth was arrested on a Canada-wide warrant by Waterloo Regional Police and charged with first-degree murder, but the charge was withdrawn at the request of the Crown in May 2022.

No other arrests have been made in connection with Bannon's death.

Thunder Bay Police are urging anyone with knowledge of the circumstances surrounding the incident "regardless of how insignificant it may seem," to contact them at (807) 684-1200, or anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477, or online at www.p3tips.com.
