Police seek hit-and-run driver after pedestrian struck

A new-model silver or grey truck with a plow attachment is being sought in late Thursday night incident near Simpson and Pruden streets.

THUNDER BAY -- Thunder Bay Police are investigating an alleged hit-and-run that sent a pedestrian to hospital with serious injuries believed to be life-threatening.

Police said they were called to the area of Simpson and Pruden streets just before midnight on Thursday and along with Superior North EMS paramedics, found a male victim.

The vehicle involved, believed to be a newer model silver or grey pick-up truck, fled the scene before emergency crews arrived.

The truck also had a stainless steel V-style plow attachment on the front of the vehicle.

Police have released images of the vehicle believed to have been involved.

Anyone with information is asked to phone police at 807-684-1200 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

Anyone with a home or business with a camera, or a vehicle with a dash cam, that might have recorded the incident or the vehicle around the time of the hit-and-run is asked to contact police.
