THUNDER BAY -- The body of an adult male was discovered in the McIntyre River this morning.
Thunder Bay Police Service spokesman Chris Adams says initial investigations indicate the death is not suspicious.
Emergency services responded to a call of a vital signs absent casualty on the edge of the McIntyre River shortly before 9:30 a.m. on Monday.
Officers have taped off the scene on the riverbed's walking trail between Carrick and Russell streets and a Crime Scene Unit is investigating.
Police have yet to positively identify the man.
A post mortem examination will determine his cause of death.
