Police to conduct searches for evidence on city's south side

Public should expect an increased police presence, starting on Monday.

THUNDER BAY -- City police are advising the public there will be a visible police presence, starting on Monday, on the south side of the city. 

According to a release issued on Friday, it's to allow police to search for evidence related to an ongoing investigation. 

Police say there is no threat to public safety, adding no further information will be made public at this time. 

Updates will be provided to media as they become available.
