Police want help locating a wanted federal offender

THUNDER BAY — OPP have issued a request on behalf of the multi-agency Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement Squad (ROPE) for the public's assistance to locate a federal offender wanted on a Canada-wide warrant.

Denis Bernard, 40, is accused of breaching his statutory release.

He's been serving a 2-year, 8-month sentence for manslaughter.

Bernard is known to frequent the Thunder Bay area.

He's described as Indigenous, 5'11" tall, weighing 150 pounds, with black hair in braids, and brown eyes.

The man also has several tattoos, including on the front of his neck, both his arms, and his abdomen.
