THUNDER BAY – Residents are being warned to steer clear of a high-risk offender, 31-year-old Tony Gordon, who is currently in the city.

The Thunder Bay Police Service issued a Community Safety Advisory Friday afternoon, outlining Gordon’s previous convictions on a variety of charges, including sexual assault, assault by choking, trespassing/prowling at night, and break and enter.

According to police, Gordon is prohibited from attending a public park or public swimming area where people under the age of 16 are present or expected to be, or a daycare centre, school ground, playground, or community centre.

Police ask anyone who sees Gordon violating these conditions contact them immediately.

They also remind the public that this information is precautionary and, while Gordon does pose a safety risk, he has rights and the police will act to protect these rights if they are infringed upon.
