THUNDER BAY — Travellers will get a new option to get from Thunder Bay to Canada's capital city starting next spring.
Porter Airlines says it will launch twice-daily non-stop service between Thunder Bay and Ottawa on March 27, 2023.
Porter will use its 78-seat De Havilland Dash 8-400 aircraft on the route, which will be operated year-round.
Introductory round-trip fares including taxes and fees will start at $366.
Company executive vice-president Kevin Jackson said people flying to Ottawa will also be able to make connections there to cities in the maritime provinces.
Porter's announcement Wednesday follows the recent disclosure by Flair Airlines that it will inaugurate twice-weekly jet service between Thunder Bay and Ottawa next June.
