THUNDER BAY — Porter Airlines will more than double its passenger jet service between Thunder Bay and Toronto Pearson International Airport.
The company released an updated 2025 summer schedule on Monday, saying it was increasing its network capacity by 25 per cent.
As part of this expansion, starting on May 1 there will be seven round-trip flights a week between Thunder Bay and Pearson, compared to the current schedule of three flights a week.
Porter will continue to use Embraer E195-E2 aircraft on the route, which was inaugurated last fall.
The airline is also maintaining its 33 round-trip flights per week between Thunder Bay and Billy Bishop Airport in Toronto, utilizing De Havilland Dash 8-400 turboprop aircraft.
As well, Porter connects Thunder Bay to Ottawa 13 times a week.
