THUNDER BAY – Kyle Potts had Lakehead's number on Friday night.
That number was four – as in the four goals he scored – to lead the visiting Toronto Varsity Blues to a 7-3 win over the Thunderwolves.
The Oakville native also added an assist, giving him seven points in three games this season.
Kevin Stiles had all three goals for Lakehead, who dropped a second straight decision, losing for the fifth time in seven outings.
Danny Katic and Oliver Benwell had a goal and two helpers for Toronto, whose other goal came off the stick of Ross Krieger, the final goal of a four-goal second for the Varsity Blues.
Brock Aiken took the loss in nets, giving up six goals on 32 shots over 40 minutes. Blake Weyrick, who has struggled to start the season, surrendered just one goal on 16 shots after taking over to start the third.
Alex Bishop earned the win, making 23 saves on the night.
Lakehead wraps up its eight-game home-stand against Toronto on Saturday night and won't return to Fort William Gardens until mid-February. It's the Wolves last game prior to the Christmas break.
