Power outage closes Intercity Shopping Centre

Electricity not expected to be restored until 6 p.m. in the Intercity area.

THUNDER BAY -- A trip to the mall to visit Santa Claus is out of the question on Tuesday.

Intercity Shopping Centre officials announced they have decided not to open the mall's doors, after a power outage left them without power for most of the morning.

Power is not expected to be restored until at least 6 p.m.

"Stay safe, stay warm and make your shopping lists because we will be ready for you tomorrow," a mall spokesperson wrote on the shopping centre's Facebook page.
