THUNDER BAY – The City of Thunder Bay and Fort William First Nation will host a pair of information sessions in conjunction with mining company Noront’s request for proposal for a ferrochrome production facility.

The first presentation will take place on Monday, Jan. 15 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Fort William First Nation community centre, while the second one will take place on Wednesday, Jan. 17 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Valhalla Inn.

Representatives from both Fort William First Nation Economic Development and the Thunder Bay Community Economic Development Commission will take part.

The city, in a release issued on Thursday, describe the information sessions as an opportunity to learn more about the project’s request for proposal and how a facility located in Thunder Bay could capture prospective economic growth.
