THUNDER BAY -- Environment Canada has issued a rainfall warning Sunday for the city of Thunder Bay.
According to Environment Canada, heavy rain with rainfall totals of 40 to 60 millimetres is expected Sunday and Sunday night.
Rain, at times heavy, is expected. A few embedded thunderstorms are possible to give locally even higher rainfall amounts for the areas north of Lake Superior.
Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads.
If visibility is reduced while driving, turn on your lights and maintain a safe following distance.
Heavy rainfall in combination with other weather factors, such as hail, wind and lightning will make outdoor activities unsafe.
