According to reports, a Red Lake OPP officer has been suspended, pending an investigation, after it was alleged the officer took a person in custody several kilometres out of town before releasing them.
The alleged incident took place on Oct. 29 at the Red Lake detachment. The report alleges the person was in custody under the Provincial Offences Act. The investigation began immediately upon its coming to light, an OPP spokesman said.
