THUNDER BAY — A late-night roadside check for impaired drivers caught three within just a few minutes of each other in Thunder Bay on the weekend.
OPP reported the results of a RIDE program set up on Highway 11/17 near the John Street off-ramp early Sunday morning.
In the space of just five minutes, officers pulled three motorists over because they suspected they had been consuming alcohol.
Two of these motorists blew an "alert" on the roadside breathalyzer, and had their drivers' licences suspended for three days.
The other driver was arrested on a charge of impaired driving after blowing a "fail" on the test.
In addition, the motorist's driver's licence was suspended for 90 days, and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
