Rosengren rink earns second win at senior nationals

MONCTON, N.B. -- Ron Rosengren is back to .500 at the Canadian senior national men's curling championship.

The Thunder Bay skip scored a 10-2 win on Tuesday over Nunavut's Peter Mackey, evening his record at 2-2.

Rosengren, third Gary Maunula, second Dale Wiersema and lead Bill Peloza, opened with a deuce in the first end, then stole a pair in the second to go up 4-0.

Mackey got two back in the third, but gave up a four-ender in the fourth and steals of one in the fifth and sixth to pull out the win.

Team Northern Ontario faces Quebec (2-1) and New Brunswick (2-0) on Wednesday to wrap up round-robin play.
