Rosslyn man sentenced to more than three years in federal prison

Sentencing occurred after he was found guilty in January of 12 charges for crimes committed between December 2018 and November 2021. 

THUNDER BAY – On Monday, 32-year-old Kyle Albert Breukelman of Rosslyn was sentenced to three-and-a-half years in federal prison.

Sentencing occurred after he was found guilty in January of 12 charges for crimes committed between December 2018 and November 2021. 

Charges include two counts of sexual assault; two counts of assault; two counts of assault with choking, suffocating, or strangling; one count of forcible confinement; two counts of mischief to property; one count of threat to damage property; and two counts of threat to cause death or harm. 

A publication ban was lifted in this case on Monday, which allowed for the reporting of some elements of the story.
