Sagl's 31 leads LU past York Lions

Lakehead won its fourth straight to maintain a hold on top spot in the OUA Central at 14-2.

TORONTO – Chris Sagl’s hot hand continued to shine on Saturday night.

The Lakehead Thunderwolves guard scored a game-high 31 points as Lakehead cracked the century mark for the second time this season, beating the host York Lions 104-89.

Nathan Bilamu, the OUA’s second-leading scorer, had 22 points for Lakehead, while Harold Santacruz, coming off of Friday night’s 35-point effort, had 15 and Carsen Unrau put up 13.

Travon Hamilton scored 24 for the Lions, adding six assists and three rebounds.

The win improved Lakehead’s record to 14-2, giving them a one-game lead in the OUA Central over Brock, winners of 10 straight.
