LONGLAC, Ont. – A trio of Longlac residents are facing numerous charges after police execute a search warrant on Thursday.
According to an OPP release, the Community Street Crime Unit, Organized Crime and Enforcement Bureau, Northwest Region Emergency Response Team, Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service and Greenstone Ontario Provincial Police executed a search warrant at a Louisa Street residence on Nov. 19 in Longlac.
As a result, police seized crack cocaine, methamphetamine, Suboxone, Canadian currency, a firearm and stolen property.
Police arrested and charged a 60-year-old of Longlac with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5,000, failure to comply with release order and possession of a firearm contrary to prohibition order.
Police also arrested an 18-year-old and a 49-year-old of Longlac with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5,000, failure to comply with release order and unauthorized possession of a firearm.
All have been held in custody for a bail hearing Nov. 20.
