THUNDER BAY - Halloween isn't just for the children.
On Thursday, the Thunder Bay District Health Unit hosted a Halloween Older Adult Health Fair at the Oliver Road Community Centre.
Topics covered included falls prevention, the health unit's seniors dental program and elder abuse prevention.
Health vendors were also on site with information booths.
“We wanted to try a smaller, more intimate venue for a health fair and make it a lot of fun using a Halloween theme," said Judi Marton, with the health unit, in a news release. "A smaller venue gives people a chance to ask more questions, tell stories and meet new people while enjoying a light lunch and getting information geared to older adults in our community.”
Prizes were also awarded for costumes.
