Seven new COVID-19 cases, 14 cases resolved

The active case count fell to 64 on Tuesday.

THUNDER BAY —  The COVID-19 caseload in the Thunder Bay district continues to trend downward.

The district health unit on Tuesday reported an active case count of 64, seven fewer than on Monday.

The daily caseload has been falling since its recent peak of 137 on Dec. 6.

TBDHU reported seven new cases as of Tuesday morning, with 14 previous cases being resolved.

All seven cases involve residents of the City of Thunder Bay or the immediate surrounding area.

Four are the result of close contact, while two have no known exposure source and one is still under investigation.

The number of people receiving treatment in hospital for COVID-19 held steady at two.
