THUNDER BAY — Strong winds, large hail and heavy rain could be in store for the city.
Environment Canada issued a severe thunderstorm watch for Thunder Bay late Tuesday afternoon, after similar advisories had been issued for areas to the west a few hours earlier.
The advisory said a line of thunderstorms is expected to move east toward the city during the evening hours, and the storms could bring wind gusts up to 90 kilometres per hour, nickel-sized hail and heavy rain.
