THUNDER BAY -- Thunder Bay Police have made an arrest related to a Saturday shooting incident at a south-side bar.

In a release issued on Tuesday afternoon police say department's emergency task force  took Jonathan David Dunston into custody shortly before 4 p.m. in the Donald Street area near city hall.

Earlier in the day police asked the public for help to locate the 29-year-old suspect, wanted for attempted murder in the shooting of a 55-year-old man at the Adanac (Addy) Bar on Simpson Street at 1 a.m. on Sunday. The victim suffered non life-threatening injuries from a gunshot wound.

Dunston will appear in video court on Wednesday from police headquarters.

Police had warned the public not to approach or make contact with the suspect, who was considered armed and dangerous.
