THUNDER BAY – Winter is coming, but it’s partner in weather crime decided to make an early visit to the Thunder Bay area.
Snow started falling over parts of the city at about 1:30 p.m. on Friday, a potential foreshadowing of the weekend and week to come.
According to Environment Canada, city residents can expect wet snow on Saturday, with a chance of flurries predicted for Monday and Tuesday.
Up to two centimetres could fall on Saturday in parts of the area, except along the lake shore.
Temperatures are also starting to dip, with a low of -4 C expected on Saturday, dropping to -6 C on Monday.
