Two people were sent to hospital Thursday morning after a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Red River Road and Martha Street.

Police say the injuries weren't serious and the trip to hospital was just a precautionary measure.

The incident involved a pick-up truck headed south on Martha Street and a passenger car headed west on Red River Road. It appears, police on scene said, the pick-up truck slid through the intersection.

Police warn the public to slow down on city streets with the return of winter weather.
