Speeding driver was in a hurry to get to his new address

OPP say they've heard 'every excuse in the book' for speeding.

THUNDER BAY — Being in a rush to relocate to another city won't let you off the hook if you're caught speeding.

A motorist found that out on the weekend after being stopped by the OPP east of Thunder Bay.

Police clocked the man's vehicle travelling at 150 km/h on Highway 11/17 near McKenzie Station Road.

According to OPP, the driver told officers he was speeding because he was moving to Western Canada.

The man was charged with stunt driving, and had his car impounded for 14 days.

In a social media post, OPP noted that they have heard "every excuse in the book" for speeding.
