THUNDER BAY – St. Ignatius High School is open on Wednesday after being closed over an unspecified threat.
The Thunder Bay Catholic District School Board announced late Tuesday night the school was safe to reopen Wednesday and all classes and school activities would resume.
That decision came after an investigation by the Thunder Bay Police Service, the board said.
It was the second threat the board had received about one of its high schools in as many days, after closing St. Patrick High School on Tuesday based on a threat received the day before.
The board has released few details about the nature of the threats, but says it is working closely with police on the matter.
