THUNDER BAY – St. John Ambulance held its final draw for its 2021 Spring into Summer Trailer Draw.

“This is our biggest fundraiser of the year, our Spring into Summer Campaign, all the funds raised stay local and they go right back to our community service programs that we hold here in the community of Thunder Bay and throughout Northwestern Ontario.” said Diana Sustawenko, executive director of St John Ambulance Northwestern Ontario.

“We have our therapy dog program, we have our youth program, our medical first response program, and our car seat program and our Grade 3/Grade 6 school program, so that’s where the money goes, it all stays local and helps support these programs.”

This year, the crew at St. John Ambulance managed to sell out a total of 10,000 despite the pandemic which forced them to rely solely on sales over the phone for most of the time that they had been selling tickets.

The 1st prize was a Recreation World RV and a 2021 Forest River Grey Wolf 29TE Travel Trailer which together have an estimated retail value of $41,097 and was won by Vincent Falcigno.

The 2nd Prize was a Honda EU3000iS Inverter RV Generator with six-year warranty from J & J Sports with an estimated retail value of $3,309.76 and was won by Jeann Mayo.

The 3rd Prize was a Wilderness Systems Radar 115 series Fishing Kayak Power and pedal capabilities with an Aquabound Stingray FG paddle from Wilderness Supply Co. with an estimated retail value of $2,211.41 and was won by Elizabeth Wickstrom.
