THUNDER BAY -- Officials at St. Joseph's Hospital say visitors will now be asked to wear masks when visiting loved ones.

Staff will be wearing masks, the hospital notes in a Tuesday Facebook post.

The post goes on to say masks are available at all entrances to all in-patient units, and the decision was made to help stop the spread of cold and flu.

The hospital does not say how long the masking requirements will remain in place.
