THUNDER BAY -- Thunder Bay Fire Rescue is reminding the public to stay off the ice.

With warm weather remaining in the forecast, residents should be “extra careful” around bodies of water and rivers.

The Fire Rescue media release reminded everyone to stay off the Thunder Bay Harbour, which it said is not permitted.

“Walking on any other body of water or river is not recommended at this time due to the unseasonably warm weather,” said Acting Deputy Fire Chief Jon Balabuck.
