THUNDER BAY – Thunder Bay residents should brace for a gusty Hallowe’en night, warns Environment Canada.

A weather statement issued by the agency late Saturday morning warns of winds up to 80 km/h and possible blowing snow Saturday night and into Sunday morning.

“An Alberta Clipper will sweep through northern Ontario tonight and Sunday,” the statement warns.

Those conditions could reduce visibility and make travel difficult, it adds.

Winds are expected to weaken by Sunday afternoon.

The agency's Thunder Bay forecast showed above-zero temperatures with a moderate chance of precipitation through Saturday evening, which could turn to snow early Sunday morning.
