THUNDER BAY — A 24-year-old man was sent to the hospital after an early morning assault on the city's south side.
Thunder Bay Police Service officers were sent to the area of Waterloo Street and Victoria Avenue around 1:40 a.m. Monday after receiving a report of an assault in progress.
The responding officers found a 24-year-old man with injuries and paramedics took him to hospital for further assessment.
A male suspect was located a short distance away and was arrested by city police.
The 25-year-old Thunder Bay resident has been charged with aggravated assault and remains in custody after appearing in court on Monday.
