THUNDER BAY — Police have arrested a theft suspect, who was allegedly found with a concealed replica handgun.
According to a release issued on Thursday by Thunder Bay Police, an officer with the break-and-enter and robbery unit was conducting surveillance at a location in the 1300 block of Arthur Street East on the evening of Nov. 27, when the incident was observed.
The suspect was quickly apprehended and placed under arrest, at which time the officer located the concealed replica handgun.
A 41-year-od Thunder Bay man was charged with theft under $5,000, carrying a concealed weapon and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
The accused appeared in court on Thursday and was remanded into custody pending a future court date.
