Police are investigating a two-vehicle collision at the corner of Van Norman and Hill streets that left a crumpled SUV on its roof.

Police say the driver and the passenger of the SUV were able to get out of the vehicle, but the 20-year-old driver was taken to hospital by ambulance. The SUV passenger and the driver of the silver pick-up involved in the collision did not require medical attention.

Police allege the maroon-coloured SUV, which was traveling southbound on North Hill Street, failed to stop at the stop sign at the Van Norman Street intersection and was struck by the eastbound truck.

Charges are pending and police say the investigation continues.
