A minor accident has forced the closure of one lane of the James Street swing bridge for the remainder of the Thursday, and possibly Friday.
Around noon a single-vehicle crash caused police to close the Northbound section of the swing bridge while a tow truck worked to free the car from the centre guard rail.
Police say the driver lost control of the vehicle, and crashed through the fence separating the car lane from the train tracks.
No injuries were reported as a result of the crash, and police were not sure if any charges will be laid.
The southbound lane leading to the Fort William First Nation remains open.
