TBFR crews limit damage in Pruden Street fire

Flames and smoke were spotted coming out of the front of the residence. No inhabitants were at the time of the fire.

THUNDER BAY — Smoke and flames could be seen by the first arriving crews, after a report of a fire at a Pruden Street residence was received just before 6 p.m. on Thursday.

According to a release issued on Friday by Thunder Bay Fire Rescue, the flames and smoke were visible coming from the front of the residence.

Water was quickly applied to the fire, allowing firefighters to enter the structure.

No inhabitants were found during the search and crews were able to limit damages to the home to the first floor. There was also some smoke damage on the main floor.
