TBPS arrest three, seize weapons in drug bust

Thunder Bay Police Service officers arrested three men and seized gun, suspected drugs and cash on Oct. 10.

THUNDER BAY — Three Toronto men are now facing drug and firearms charges stemming from a drug trafficking investigation initiated earlier this month by the Thunder Bay Police Service’s intelligence unit.

Police executed warrants at residences in the north end on Court Street South and in the south end on Sills Street Thursday afternoon.

In a news release issued by police they said, “A search of the residences led to the seizure of quantities of suspected crack cocaine and fentanyl, along with more than $53,000 in cash and two sawed-off shotguns. “

All three men are Toronto residents in their 20s. They each face charges of possession for the purposes of trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 and a number of firearm-related charges.

One of the accused was under conditions not to be in the city.

All three were remanded into custody on Friday and will appear before the court again at a later date.
