THUNDER BAY - Thunder Bay Police Service is under investigation by the Special Investigations Unit surrounding a death over the weekend.
The SIU release states TBPS received a call for service to a home on Ray Blvd on Sat., Dec. 30, at approximately 2 am regarding a domestic disturbance.
Police did not respond to the scene, according to the SIU.
TBPS received a secondary call through 911 to "cancel" the initial call for service.
Officers did not respond to the scene, again, according to the SIU release.
911 received a third call from the residence that indicated a woman was found deceased in the home.
The SIU states that officers responded and located the woman, deceased.
The SIU have assigned two investigators and one forensic investigator to the case. One subject official has been designated at this time.
