Students and staff at Lakehead University received a musical treat over the lunch-hour Thursday. The Thunder Bay Symphony Orchestra played a free concert in the LU Agora.

The TBSO chose a set of songs that they believed most people would recognize, including the theme songs from Raiders of the Lost Ark and ET, along with favourites from Beethoven and other famous composers.

The performance was part of the TBSO Musical Bridges outreach program.

Symphony GM Chris Wilkinson said this was a great opportunity to connect with the Lakehead University community, and introduce young people to the TBSO.

The symphony is also promoting its new Access Pass, which gives people under 30 years old the chance to attend their concerts for only 15-dollars.
